NanoSteps collects minimal information necessary to provide the service:

Task descriptions — text you enter or photos you take to generate task breakdowns. These are sent to our AI service for processing and are not stored after the breakdown is generated.
Device identifier — a randomly generated anonymous ID stored locally on your device, used to manage your usage limits.
Usage data — anonymous analytics such as number of tasks created, to improve the app experience.

2. Photos

When you use the photo breakdown feature, images are sent to our AI service for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after the task breakdown is generated.

3. How We Use Information

To generate AI-powered task breakdowns from your input
To track daily usage limits (free tier: 3 breakdowns per day)
To improve the quality of our service

4. Data Storage

Your tasks and steps are stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain a server-side copy of your task data. If you delete the app, all local data is removed.

5. Third-Party Services

We use AI services to process task breakdowns. Task descriptions are sent to these services for processing but are not retained beyond the immediate request.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not display advertisements.

7. Children's Privacy

NanoSteps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
